When hubby booked our trip away for the baby-moon he broke travel into segments to ensure bump and I had rests in between flights. On the journey to Thailand we stopped in Auckland, spent time in both Melbourne & Sydney and before our return to New Zealand, a day in Singapore.
Singapore was by far our favourite pitt-stop, so much so we are already saving for another trip back!
We knew from the moment we stepped foot outside Changi Airport that Singapore was about to blow our minds. I was having trouble walking and by the end of our baby-moon the heat was too much to bare, so we hired private transport for several hours to do some mobile sightseeing. We were blessed with an amazing driver who during the drive enlightened us with the history behind Singapore while we marvelled at all the architecture outside our windows.
Hubby was in his element, not only was our drivers whip a decked-out Chrysler 300c, we were about to get dropped off in style at ‘Jamie Oliver’s’ italian restaurant, one of Isaac’s favourite celebrity chefs.
With stunning views of Sentosa Island its easy to forget that this restaurant is situated in one of Singapore’s largest shopping centres, Vivo City.
The al-fresco area we chose to be seated in rested right next to the gorgeous waterfront. As we took in the magnificent views we made a toast to our accomplishments and success that has lead us to relish in this exact moment.
Reflecting and appreciating.
We had trouble deciding on lunch with such a superb range of dishes. I rarely order mains when we eat out, Im a bit of a antipasti and sides type of girl, so instead I chose several entrees from the menu.
The crunchy kale salad was heavenly and Jamie’s world famous polenta chips were worth the visit to the restaurant alone. Mr. Carlson is a burger man and the self proclaimed burger connoisseur gave his meal a 9/10.
We needed a bit of sweet relief and it was only a matter of seconds before my husband scouted Awfully Chocolate to get our fix. Quite possibly the best chocolatey-goodness we have ever devoured!
A ‘must-do’ when in Singapore!
The highlight of being in Singapore was of course my very first trip to Sephora. It was in the back of my mind the entire vacation. For the first few minutes I was a deer caught in headlights, it didn’t take long before I felt right at home. The free-for-all isles had me like a kid in a candy store.
I wasn’t The Leo Style that day leaving my qualifications outside the door. I sat in the beauty chair like a complete amateur, asking questions I already knew the answer too, it was fab! I was just a beauty queen, whose dream of walking the glossy tiles of Sephora finally came true.
I will be sharing my very first Sephora haul on the blog, for now heres a teaser!
We had so much fun in Singapore, time was of the essence however and sadly we didn’t do a whole heck of photo taking!
If you’ve been to Singapore before I’d love you to leave some ‘See’s & Do’s’ for our next visit below!
