MY STYLE + WHAT I WORE TO THE NEW ZEALAND SOCIAL MEDIA AWARDS

Being recognised as a finalist in ‘Best of Fashion’ for the New Zealand Social Media Awards is definitely a career highlight. I was in complete shock at first! It felt a little foreign seeing my name (me?!) next to some insanely talented influencers. I didn’t win…but just to be in that category, MAN! I’m still on a high! Such a great night!

I always find it hard to describe my style. Perhaps eclectic sums it up. Most days I stick to a capsule wardrobe consisting of black, white, blue/denim coloured clothing. However, I love leopard print (when executed right) and enjoy playing with florals. My favourite clothing item would have to be well tailored blazers they give me heart pangs, nothing beats em’! A biker jacket, close second. In terms of accessories I can’t stand gold, I am a die-hard silver gal. Nowadays I prefer the no-makeup-makeup-look, accompanied with my signature red-lip of course. In terms of fashion-folks who inspire me, I would say Victoria Beckham and Kourtney Kardashian. Like me, they generally keep their wardrobe pristine and chic, but aren’t afraid to wear a bold colour or print when suited to the right occasion.

For the #NZMA’s I did what I do best, kept it simple and made my look accessory focused. I collaborated with The Mint Repulic to create my look and below you will see how we styled their precious and unique pieces with my ensemble. I’d have to say, my favourite piece I wore that evening was definitely the large circular Symmetry Ring. I took it off so many times for a number of other influencers to try. I’ve linked all the pieces I wore below! My dress was a long shift dress with court-styled straps. I chose this dress because of the eyelet embellishment that suited my silver-accessory theme. It’s the kinda dress I know would look great dressed-down with sneakers. Shoes, they speak for themselves don’t they? OBSESSED! Mules and loafers are my preferred shoe of choice for any occasion!

Hair and makeup done by moi! On that note, shout-out to my hair salon Sable Fine Hair! You will have noticed by now my shorter and lighter locks. So thrilled my hair is FINALLY where I envisioned it.
