SHOP MY WARDROBE & SWIMSUIT INSPO
OK! First things first!
I have post bub stretch-marks and the swimsuits I shop for are mostly one-piece & mum-tum friendly. Will I get back into a two-piece, most probably, I’ve got a few ab-workouts calling on me first. Secretly though, I have always worn one-piece bathers in summer as bodysuits. Under shorts, under trousers, under wrap-style skirts & sarongs etc. The high-waisted swimsuit I am wearing in these pictures is from Zaful, and although it is gorgeous, I probably wouldn’t purchase from there again. LOVE the design, high waisted, stretch-mark friendly. LOVE the colour (you can probably tell from the above ‘Swimsuit Inspo’ I’m currently obsessed with green). LOVE the price, cheap as chips. BUT, dun, dun DUUUUUUUUN, the quality was not the best. These pictures were taken on Bounty Island (Fiji), the day after our friends wedding. The kids were with the nanny and we had a day to relax and recover.
In terms of swimwear I think you’ll agree, it’s about fit and comfort. I choose to shop online where I can exchange the product just incase it doesn’t meet expectations. Below I’ve listed 3 of my favourite online retailers I regularly purchase my swimsuits from to get you prepared for summer, WHOOP-WHOOP!
- ASOS – I bet you could’ve guessed that. The most affordable place to shop in my opinion. Great selection of brands and designers and an abundance of designs for different body shapes. I am particularly fond of their ‘petite’ swimwear. I have no torso, literally my hips are only inches away from my ribs, so the petite range is such a great fit! Their free, no-fuss exchange policy is also what keeps me loyal to the brand.
- SHOPBOP – Designer heaven! I put my alerts on for their sales and exclusive online deals. I will only EVER purchase a designer swimsuit on sale. My favourite brands there are Mara Hoffman and Marysia Swim.
- BOOHOO – This is where I shop for swimsuits I want to wear as a bodysuit. They have a really impressive range of black and white swimsuits. Boohoo also make the gimmicky bathers with embroidery, slogans and fun pictures, great for the ole’ Instagram shot. Boohoo can be hit or miss in terms of sizing, I’d say the swimwear in particular runs small. I will scrutinise the sizing before making my purchase.
See you, love you, BYE!
