After a successful debut last year Victoria Beckham is at it again! Collaborating with one of my favourite brands Estée Lauder for the second time, excited is an understatement!
Growing up, I was the captain of several sporting teams and a state netball player. I could sprint 100m in 15 seconds flat and was on the boys rugby-league team. It’s understandable why my gal-pals never cast me as ‘Posh-Spice’ while dancing in formation to the ‘Wannabe’ video-clip. You know that part in the song that say’s “tell me whatcha want, whatcha really, really want” ? Well, I really wanted to be Victoria. Unbeknown to them, my heart would break a little whenever my friends would say “you be Sporty-Spice“.
Over twenty years later, I’m still a huge fan of Victoria Beckham. It’s strange to think that someone I have never personally met has influenced my life so much. Style, motherhood, business, even how to bag myself a hot husband, haha! I am often looking to see what Victoria is doing and taking inspiration from that. When I initially heard about her first make-up collaboration with Estée Lauder, shut-the-phone, I was ecstatic! Now she returns with her second #VBxEstéeLauder release.
I hope you like the look I created below using the #VBxEstéeLauder collection, such wearable, universal and easy-to-use beauty products. Oh, and just you wait, the packaging is to-die gorgeous!
Morning Aura Illuminating Crème $180
For my base, 2 pumps of Double Wear Foundation mixed with 2 pumps of Victoria Beckham Estée Lauder Morning Aura Illuminating Crème. The Morning Aura Illuminating Crème brightened my complexion instantly and softened my full coverage foundation, diluting it to the perfect consistency I needed to create my look, glowy and fresh.
Matte Bronzer in Java Sun $130
I am hugely critical when it comes to bronzers, I’ve tried them all. This matte bronzer is super natural and great for medium-to-deep skin tones like mine. Though I personally don’t use bronzers to contour, for the women looking for simplicity, this bronzer will act as a 2-in-1 product, an all over bronzer and contour powder. Also available in Saffron Sun, for light skin tones. Playing on whats left of my Fiji-holiday tan, I have used the bronzer all over lightly to create the perfect sun-kissed finish.
Highlighter in Modern Mercury $130
I love the colour of this highlighter and it’s said to be one of Victoria’s personal favourites. I used it to enhance my cheekbones, above the end-third of my brow, on my cupids-bow and tip of my nose to lift. It illuminates the skin beautifully and also has a spectacular finish in photos.
Cheek Crème in Blonde-Mink $105
O em gee! This product is KEY! My favourite from the collection! This product is so universal, use it on eyes, cheeks and lips. Its amazing, and the colour is perfection! Its a warm tawny hue and will suit most skin tones. I applied it with my finger tips onto the the apples of my cheeks and diffused with a patting motion until seamless. I also have used this without any base foundation and it works a dream on skin alone.
Eye Matte Duo Palette in Bleu-Electric $105 / Nude & Eye Kajal Duo Pencil in Black Saffron / Vanille $65, Highlighter in Modern Mercury $130 & Eye Ink Mascara in Blackest $75
To create this eye look I used the nude hue in the crease of my eye and blended it out to the brow-bone. On the eyelid and inner-eye corner I applied the highlighter in Modern Mercury. To line the eye, I used the darker end of the Eye Jajal along my lash line and waterline. Using the Bleu-Electric hue from the duo-palette and an angle brush I smudged out the Eye Jajal to create my winged-liner. To finish, I used arguably the most talked about from the collection, the Eye Ink Mascara. I love how this mascara thickens my lashes and leaves a glossy finish, and note, other than the application of this incredible mascara, these are my natural lashes in these photos.
Cheek Crème in Blonde-Mink $105 & Lip Gloss in Fired-Crystal $65
The water-shine finish of this gloss is stunning. In addition to wearing it over the Cheek Crème its pairs well over top of creamy lipliners.
